About the position

The North Central Texas Emergency Communications District (NCT9-1-1) is seeking a 9-1-1 Chief Innovation Officer to lead innovation and technology initiatives aimed at enhancing emergency response capabilities. This role involves managing a team, overseeing pilot projects, and fostering partnerships to implement cutting-edge technologies in the 9-1-1 industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing innovation team.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to the 9-1-1 industry.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships, managing procurement and contract negotiations.
• Oversee pilot projects to test and validate new technologies.
• Establish partnerships to collaborate on innovation initiatives.
• Develop a strategic innovation roadmap to advance our goals.

Requirements

• Professional level of knowledge in a discipline equivalent to that which is acquired in a Masters degree-level of study.
• Over nine years' experience in technology implementation or a related field, with a focus on the 9-1-1 industry preferred.
