About the position
The Customer Experience Host (Cashier) at the Exchange is responsible for providing a friendly and efficient checkout experience for customers. This role emphasizes customer engagement, multitasking, and ensuring that each customer feels welcomed and valued. The position involves operating self-checkout registers, assisting with regular checkout stations, and maintaining a proactive approach to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with eye contact and a smile.
- Manage multiple self-checkout registers while ensuring outstanding customer experience.
- Assist with regular checkout stations as needed.
- Listen to customer needs and ask follow-up questions to offer appropriate products.
- Ensure customers have an extraordinary shopping experience.
- Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in conversation.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or equivalent education.
- Retail experience preferred.
- Demonstrated willingness and potential for additional responsibility.
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Quick thinking to answer customer questions.
- Initiative and brand knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Willingness to cross-train and work in other areas of the store as needed.
- Helpful attitude toward customers and team members.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
