About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate bookkeeping practices. You will post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers, reconcile and balance accounts, and generate and analyze financial statements. Additionally, you will prepare and process payroll, generate 1099s and W2s, and calculate and prepare tax statements. Communication with clients, client suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts will be essential, as well as assisting in client retention and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the ability to successfully obtain certifications
  • 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles & procedures
  • Ability to correctly interpret and apply complete instructions, policies and regulations
  • Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Analytical skills and an eye for details
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently
