About the position
The 9th Grade Boys Basketball Coach at Sioux City Community School District is responsible for coaching and developing student-athletes in the sport of basketball. This role involves creating a positive and competitive environment, promoting teamwork, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the players during practices and games.
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop the 9th grade boys basketball team.
- Plan and conduct practices to improve players' skills and teamwork.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and games.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
- Promote sportsmanship and a positive team culture.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience preferred.
- Must have Coaching Authorization or Endorsement.
- Must have both Child & Adult Mandatory Reporter Certificates.
