About the position
The 9th Grade Head Girls Basketball Coach is responsible for leading and developing the girls' basketball program at Norman North High School. This role involves coaching student-athletes, promoting teamwork, and ensuring the overall well-being of the players through effective training and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the 9th grade girls basketball team.
- Develop practice plans and game strategies.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
- Promote teamwork and sportsmanship among players.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
Requirements
- Experience in coaching basketball at the high school level or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and strategies.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a head coach or assistant coach.
- First aid and CPR certification.
