The Operations and Manufacturing team at Nova is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to collaborate with Production personnel, Engineers, and Scientists in the production of our industry-leading metrology equipment. This role is pivotal in overseeing the company's manufacturing processes for semiconductor metrology capital equipment. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the design of the company's products aligns with manufacturability and performance specifications. This includes managing product manufacturing processes and fixturing, as well as ensuring the availability and accuracy of documentation. The role also involves participation in New Product Introduction (NPI) for new products and modules, as well as Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) for existing products. In this position, you will provide real-time technical support to the manufacturing group, addressing assembly, integration, and final test issues. You will perform root-cause analysis and implement changes through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process. Additionally, you will develop fixturing and processes for testing electronics, particularly high-voltage system control modules, and work closely with the engineering team to implement manufacturability design changes. Your responsibilities will also include defining design standards for power distribution and cabling in compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing incremental design improvements, and ensuring that engineering designs and specifications are in place for all components and systems. You will own the quality of documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy, drawings, and work instructions (WI), and drive the implementation of Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and process improvements. Coordination of NPI and project management activities will require collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality, while adhering to Product Lifecycle (PLC) guidelines and participating in Gate Review processes. Ultimately, your goal will be to drive changes that achieve improvements in quality, cost, and cycle time.
