About the position
The Insurance Loss Control Field Representative at Alexander & Schmidt is responsible for conducting on-site inspections of properties, general liability, and incidental auto to prepare detailed reports for insurance underwriting. These reports are essential for insurance companies to accurately assess and insure commercial or residential properties for new policies or renewals.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site property, general liability, and incidental auto inspections.
- Prepare detailed reports for insurance underwriting purposes.
- Upload completed reports, photos, and diagrams through a designated website or web-based systems.
- Conduct high-quality and accurate loss control surveys to guide underwriters in selecting profitable business.
- Assist insured clients in controlling losses through effective loss control services.
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years' experience with a commercial carrier or as an independent contractor in commercial insurance loss control services.
- Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines including property, general liability, auto, and workers compensation.
- Solid communication skills, including exceptional writing ability and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional certifications such as CSP, OHST, ALCM, and/or ARM are preferred but not required.
