About The Position

The Associate Attorney (Law and Motion) position at D.LAW INC is a full-time role focused on labor and employment law, specifically handling law and motion matters for employees in California. Requirements

• Active California State Bar license required, with no disciplinary history.
• At least 1 year of experience handling law and motion briefing and argument strongly preferred.
• Experience in plaintiff or defense side employment law, wage & hour, and Class/PAGA actions is a plus.
• Superior oral advocacy skills, experience, and confidence.
• Great analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Attention to detail; honesty; dependability; ability to follow instructions and/or work independently; very computer savvy.

Nice To Haves

• Fluent in Spanish (spoken & written) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings, including motions for preliminary and final approval of class/PAGA action settlements.
• Attend hearings and argue motions in court/arbitration.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Assist in client meetings.
• Manage caseloads and ensure deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards.
