About the position

The Aerial Target Assembler at ABSI Aerospace & Defense is responsible for the assembly and packaging of various aerial target systems, ranging from small quad-copter targets to larger fixed-wing models. This role involves collaboration with developers to prototype new targets and may include support for flight operations. The position requires adaptability in a dynamic environment and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components of aerial target systems
• Conduct final assembly of aerial target systems
• Package aerial target systems
• Coordinate with the development team to produce prototype systems
• Conduct periodic maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Periodically provide support to the flight operations team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Experience in assembling mechanical and/or electronic equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based collaborative resources such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams

Nice-to-haves

• Associates degree
• Experience with Small UAS or Remote Controlled Aircraft
• Experience soldering electronic components
• Familiarity with software coding
