The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) at Broward Medical Oncology Office is a licensed professional responsible for delivering patient-family centered care. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency in assessment, technical skills, and communication.
  • Utilize critical thinking and interpersonal skills in patient care.
  • Plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care effectively.
  • Exhibit flexibility and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain professional accountability and leadership in nursing practice.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Completion of a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent for independent practice.
  • For RNs hired after specific dates, completion of a BSN degree within five years if hired with an Associate's degree.
  • Certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, or ONS may be required as per department standards.
