About the position

The University of Utah is seeking a Child Psychologist specializing in Behavioral Health Integration to work in a high school-based health clinic at West High School in Salt Lake City. This role involves providing mental health services to adolescents aged 12-18, focusing on individual and group therapy, as well as psychological assessments. The psychologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to teaching and scholarly projects within the Division of Pediatric Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy to adolescents with a range of mental health needs.
  • Conduct psychological assessments as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pediatricians, psychiatrists, social workers, and nurse practitioners.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring graduate students and medical trainees.
  • Engage in scholarly projects and research within the Division of Behavioral Health.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD in clinical, counseling, school, or combined psychology from an APA accredited program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship.
  • Experience working with adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in an educational system is preferred but not necessary.
  • Interest in integrated behavioral health settings.
