About the position

The Treasurer to the Board of Directors at the East Tennessee Arts Center, Inc. is a volunteer position responsible for providing financial oversight and strategic guidance to ensure effective program management and financial sustainability. This role is crucial for supporting the organization's mission and values while engaging with community partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight and basic bookkeeping to ensure effective program management.
• Engage with all board directors, community partners, funders, and service users.
• Participate in budgeting processes to ensure financial sustainability and accountability.
• Supervise and support staff involved in program implementation and service delivery.
• Advocate for the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and promote awareness of behavioral health issues.
• Collaborate with fellow board members to set organizational policies and objectives.
• Attend regular board meetings, committee meetings, and participate in organizational events.

Requirements

• Familiarity with financial bookkeeping using accounting principles.
• Experience working as a team player in a nonprofit or community-based organization.
• Proven skills in program development, management, and evaluation.
• Strong administrative abilities, including budgeting and financial oversight.
• Experience in supervising teams or managing projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective relationship management within the community.
