About the position
The Clinical Supervisor at Cancer Support Community Greater San Gabriel Valley (CSC) is responsible for managing the clinical components of programs designed to support individuals affected by cancer. This role involves overseeing clinical staff, ensuring compliance with mental health regulations, and providing direct support to participants through group and individual counseling. The Clinical Supervisor collaborates with the Program and Clinical Director and other team members to enhance program effectiveness and growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the clinical component of CSC's program for individuals affected by cancer.
- Collaborate with the Program Team to ensure program and clinical compliance, growth, and development.
- Maintain a current mental health license and assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and record keeping.
- Act as the primary point person for clinical crises and mandated reporting issues.
- Recruit and train licensed, associate, and training clinicians for support services.
- Facilitate weekly and/or monthly participant support groups and conduct individual counseling sessions as needed.
- Oversee the clinical training program for practicum trainees and provide supervision as required.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals for clinical program staff.
Requirements
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in California.
- Minimum of five years post-license experience.
- Two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding mental health services and ethical standards.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with chronic and life-threatening illness support groups.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
