About the position

The Commercial Sales Executive at Steele Canvas is responsible for acquiring new customers and expanding B2B Direct and Distributor Sales Channels. This role involves managing the entire sales process, identifying revenue growth opportunities, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage regular communication with existing clients to develop lasting relationships and keep Steele top of mind.
  • Identify industry trends and client needs to develop strategies to generate both cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation, qualification, close and post-sale follow-up.
  • Keep record of communications with customers by logging and tracking activities within CRM Platform.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations and product development teams to provide customer feedback to internal teams in an organized and actionable format to facilitate ongoing client-driven product development.
  • Prepare and send customer proposals, quotes and orders as needed, while providing administrative assistance and or training as needed to other members in the sales organization.
  • Provide bi-weekly updates to the sales manager regarding the status of open quotes, sales orders and opportunities.
  • Meet or Exceed Sales Goals as provided by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Outstanding communication skills including oral, written and interpersonal.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-energy sales culture.
  • Ability to identify a prospect's needs and correlate them to Steele's products.
  • Experience using CRM for pipeline and relationship management.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit - A self-starter that is driven to exceed targets.
