The Visiting Media Scholar position at Duquesne University's Institute for Ethics and Integrity in Journalism and Media (IEIJM) is designed for distinguished scholars to contribute to the academic community during the spring semester of 2025. The scholar will teach a seminar, deliver a public lecture, and engage with students and faculty, while also having access to university resources and support for travel and lodging.
Responsibilities
- Teach one, 3-credit undergraduate/graduate seminar on a topic of the scholar's choosing.
- Offer one public lecture.
- Hold weekly office hours for consultation by students and faculty.
Requirements
- Preferably possess a terminal degree in a related area of study.
- Demonstrate a strong record of teaching and scholarship in the field.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the University community.

Nice-to-haves
