About the position

The A&D Specification Sales Representative at MR Walls is a pivotal role focused on building and maintaining relationships with architects and designers to specify custom architectural surfaces in commercial projects. This position requires a dynamic individual with experience in the architectural or design products industry, who can effectively communicate the benefits of MR Walls' innovative offerings and drive business development in the DC area.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and develop relationships with architects, designers, and key decision-makers at top commercial firms.
  • Conduct in-person presentations and library updates to introduce MR Walls products with strong product knowledge.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their needs.
  • Manage a pipeline of projects from concept through to specification, collaborating closely with technical and design teams.
  • Utilize Copper CRM to log all calls, emails, and track project activity for seamless follow-up and client communication.
  • Attend architecture and design events, roadshows, and conferences to build awareness and create opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, ideally in architectural or design products, or construction materials.
  • Existing contacts or a book of business in the architecture and design industry is preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate design and technical excellence.
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Copper, for tracking and reporting activities.
  • A self-starter with a proactive approach to building client relationships and driving revenue.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
