About the position

Med-Trans is seeking an A&P Base Mechanic - Rotor Wing to join our team in Greeley, Colorado. This full-time position offers a competitive starting salary ranging from $62,705 to $91,455, depending on experience, along with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and an annual stipend of $2,080 for those with Inspection Authorization (IA). In this role, the A&P Base Mechanic will be responsible for the daily maintenance of AS350 and EC130 series aircraft at our base. This includes performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications to airframes, rotors, and appliances. The Maintenance team at Med-Trans is dedicated to maintaining our helicopters to the highest standards possible, ensuring safety and reliability in our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance, particularly with rotor wing aircraft, and will be expected to work a flexible schedule that includes overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations. Candidates must possess a valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification, with a preference for those holding a valid and current FAA Inspection Authorization. Additionally, applicants should have at least 36 months of helicopter experience, with a minimum of 6 months in the last 24 months. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and EMS aviation practices is preferred, along with avionics troubleshooting knowledge and basic electrical repair experience. The ability to lift 50 lbs and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily maintenance of AS350 and EC130 series aircraft.

Requirements

  • Aircraft maintenance experience with AS350 and EC130 series aircraft.
  • 36 months of helicopter experience, with 6 months in the last 24 months.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
  • Valid and current FAA Inspection Authorization preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and EMS aviation practices preferred.
  • Avionics troubleshooting knowledge and basic electrical repair experience required.
  • Aircraft systems knowledge required.
  • Aircraft records systems knowledge required.
  • Aircraft maintenance planning experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
