About the position

As an A&P Mechanic IV, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of aircraft, ensuring compliance with national and international standards. This position requires advanced knowledge in aviation maintenance, particularly in airframe and power plant mechanics. You will be responsible for performing checks, diagnosing issues, and replacing faulty components while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance on aircraft components.
  • Conduct necessary checks on mechanical and functional components of aircraft.
  • Test and replace defective or faulty parts as needed.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment for diagnosis and repairs.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs comply with national and international standards.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness in the hangar or workshop.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in aviation maintenance components.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
  • Ability to pass written, oral, and practical assessments.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • U.S. Citizenship with a valid U.S. Passport and Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Willingness to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
  • Advanced experience in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations.

Nice-to-haves

  • FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry or US Military.
  • Experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
  • Understanding of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Completion of the CAE Global Training Course.
  • Familiarity with Proline FMS, specifically Proline Fusion.
  • Previous OCONUS deployment experience in remote locations.
