About the position

As a SkyWest A&P Mechanic, you will be immersed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that offers a variety of tasks and challenges. This role is essential to the operation of our growing fleet of aircraft, where you will work nose-to-tail on various models including the CRJ200, CRJ700, CRJ900, and E175. Your contributions will not only enhance your skills but also have a significant impact on the safety and efficiency of our operations. In this position, you will be responsible for troubleshooting all aircraft systems and making critical decisions regarding aircraft safety in a timely manner. You will be trained to perform all line maintenance functions independently, ensuring that you are equipped to handle any situation that arises. Additionally, you will manage all necessary documentation and paperwork, including parts paperwork, which is crucial for maintaining compliance with FAA regulations. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot all aircraft systems.
  • Make critical decisions regarding aircraft safety in a timely manner.
  • Perform all line maintenance functions unsupervised, at any time.
  • Manage all documentation and paperwork, including parts paperwork.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid unrestricted driver's license, and be insurable.
  • Meet all FAA and Safety Requirements.
  • Hold a valid FAA-issued A&P Certificate.
  • Possess good troubleshooting skills.
  • Possess excellent communication and people skills.
  • Possess problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Be willing to work a night/third shift position including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety.

Nice-to-haves

  • CRJ and EMB experience.
  • Be familiar with Company and Manufacturer Manuals.
