About the position

Textron Aviation is seeking a full-time A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) mechanic or AMT (Aircraft Maintenance Technician) to join our team. This role is critical to our mission of inspiring the journey of flight through our iconic Cessna and Beechcraft brands. As an A&P Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, maintenance, modifications, and repairs on various aircraft models. Your work will ensure that our aircraft are safe and ready for flight, contributing to the overall success of our operations. In this position, you will perform a variety of mechanical tasks, including diagnosing malfunctions, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, and adjustment of aircraft systems. You will also be involved in engine and airframe maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of turbine engines, as well as carrying out airframe system changes and installing service bulletins and kits. Utilizing a range of tools and equipment, such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, and various hand tools, you will play a vital role in preparing our aircraft for delivery. To be successful in this role, you will need a high school education or GED, along with an A&P License. A minimum of 2 years of experience in diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, and aircraft/flight maintenance is required. Knowledge of 100-hour, annual, and progressive inspection procedures as per FAR 43 is also essential. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections, maintenance, modifications, and repairs on Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft models.
  • Perform a variety of mechanical tasks including diagnosing malfunctions, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, and adjustment of aircraft systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of turbine engines, including engine run-ups.
  • Carry out airframe system and component changes, systems checkout, and install service bulletins and kits on both airframes and engines.
  • Utilize equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and various hand tools to repair or modify systems or assemblies.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED required.
  • A&P License Required.
  • Knowledge of 100-hour, annual, and progressive inspection procedures as per FAR 43 is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance.
