About the position

The Staff Accountant position is integral to the financial operations of the firm, responsible for producing monthly client invoices using Deltek Vision / VantagePoint software and collaborating with project managers. This role also involves processing bi-weekly payroll through ADP Workforce and handling various accounting tasks. Responsibilities

  • Create monthly batch billing and electronic batch billing using Deltek software.
  • Coordinate with WRT project managers to create monthly client invoicing for more than 100 projects.
  • Maintain a control sheet to track client invoicing.
  • Collect, review, and post timesheets weekly.
  • Work with the Accounting Manager to process bi-weekly payroll through ADP Workforce.
  • Create necessary reporting, journal entries, and balance reconciliations for general ledger entry.
  • Process regular A/P invoices, subconsultant invoices, and employee expense reports.
  • Maintain vendor files.
  • Manage petty cash for Philadelphia & San Francisco offices, including monthly reconciliation.
  • Execute special projects as assigned by WRT's Accounting Manager or Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint and ADP Workforce Now is highly desired.
  • Strong mathematical and analysis skills including familiarity with financial statements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.
  • Computer proficiency including working in Word, Excel, Acrobat, MS Teams, and Outlook.
  • Proficient with a 10 key calculator.
  • Appropriate organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to be flexible and multi-task.
  • Professional demeanor and an attitude that promotes collaboration throughout the company.
