About the position

The A/R Collections Specialist will play a crucial role in managing accounts receivable for a temporary project in the construction industry. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong customer service skills to handle collections, invoicing, and account reconciliations. The role involves collaborating with various departments to resolve billing issues and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain past due accounts receivable records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Process incoming payments and apply them to customer accounts in a timely manner.
• Perform revenue cycle management tasks including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances, payment plans, and billing inquiries.
• Utilize financial software to track payments and generate reports on accounts receivable status.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with customers when necessary to facilitate timely collections.
• Collaborate with the customer service team to address any discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable.

Requirements

• Must have previous experience in B2B collections (No banking or medical industry).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
