About the position

The A/R Specialist at Izzio Artisan Bakery is responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, including invoicing customers, recording payments, and ensuring accurate credit coding. This role is essential for maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the accounting department, contributing to the overall success of the bakery's operations.

Responsibilities

• Work with warehouse team to accurately invoice customers based on product deliveries.
• Prepare deposits of all incoming payments and post to customer ledger accounts.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable ledger to ensure posting of invoices, credits, and payments are in accordance with company policies.
• Work with customer service team to determine validity of credits and dispute if necessary.
• Communicate with customers to follow up on overdue balances, billing questions, and resolve payment issues.
• Manage accounts receivable email inbox.
• Maintain electronic filing of all shipping documents, invoices, credits, and payments.
• Aid in identifying and executing process improvements.
• Assist with month-end, and year-end closing process.
• Perform other duties as required to support the Accounting Department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience in lieu of degree is desired.
• Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience, preferably in consumer goods.
• Knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, etc.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $55,000 - $68,000 per year.
