About the position

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Petrocard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions. Your primary responsibilities will include processing payments, resolving customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate account records, all while fostering strong relationships with customers and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal departments to foster trust and facilitate efficient resolution of payment issues.
• Process a variety of payments, including EFT, ACH, credit card, and online payments, ensuring accuracy and timely posting to customer accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts, identify discrepancies, and take appropriate action to resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the Credit Department to clear up outstanding balances and minimize delinquencies, alerting management of potential risks and losses.
• Accurately post customer payments to their accounts in a timely manner.
• Analyze account trends, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Perform other assigned duties and tasks necessary to support the department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in finance or accounting, preferably in accounts receivable.
• Experience with large portfolios of $1M+ portfolios preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams).
• Knowledge of MAS200/SAGE100 and Salesforce systems is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and a customer-centric approach.
