The Accounts Receivable Supervisor at Republic Services, Inc. plays a crucial role in overseeing the billing, cash processing, and collection functions within the organization. This position is responsible for supervising a team of employees to ensure that all billing and cash application processes are completed in a timely manner, thereby meeting performance targets. The supervisor will define and adapt procedures and processes to accomplish these requirements effectively. Additionally, the Accounts Receivable Supervisor will implement performance management metrics and manage the team to achieve these performance objectives. In this role, the supervisor will conduct onboarding and training for new employees, actively engaging in their skill development and performance management. They will serve as the point of escalation for complex accounts receivable risks and will partner with internal stakeholders to resolve these issues. Regular reviews of accounts receivable aging statements will be conducted to incite action on balances due past terms, ensuring that all invoicing is completed timely and that cash applications are applied by month-end. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will engage with cross-functional leadership in monthly meetings to ensure awareness of ongoing issues and the assignment of action items. They will respond to customer requests, both internal and external, in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner, exercising judgment in resolving service billing or pricing problems that are not resolved by the accounts receivable staff. Furthermore, the supervisor will monitor daily staff performance through system-generated reports and manual logs, encouraging and assisting staff in developing more efficient and effective processes. This position also supports the field in resolving all cash-related inquiries and monitors accounting services systems to identify discrepancies, making corrections as appropriate to ensure timely resolution of tickets.
