About the position
The A-Tech position is a skilled-level technician role responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing automotive repairs and preventive services. This role also involves mentoring junior technicians and ensuring a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in directing junior technicians
- Inspect, diagnose, and identify repairs in automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspension, and cooling systems
- Diagnose, repair, and assess engines
- Change oil and/or transmission fluid and filters
- Install and perform tire maintenance
- Road test vehicles
- Help increase sales and improve store profitability
- Lead and mentor junior technicians
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Recommend tires, parts, and services to the Service Manager
- Work in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment
Requirements
- Valid Driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to perform continued standing, bending, crouching, twisting, and crawling
- ASE certifications and/or technical school degree are preferred but not required
Nice-to-haves
- 5 years of experience in tire service (Preferred)
