About the position

The Buffalo Stampeders, a not-for-profit youth sports organization located in Central Florida, is seeking a dedicated A/V Production Manager to oversee the audio and video production for sporting events. This role is crucial in capturing and live streaming events for both the Buffalo Stampeders and The Villages Charter School through their in-house streaming service, TVCS Live. The A/V Production Manager will be responsible for producing high-quality audio and video feeds during events, ensuring that all media is appropriately edited, organized, and archived for future use. The position requires a reliable individual who can work flexible hours, primarily after 3:00 PM on weekdays and occasionally on weekends. The candidate will perform most duties on the Buffalo Ridge Campus or Middleton Campus of The Villages Charter School, with some special events potentially occurring off-campus. The A/V Production Manager will also coordinate with The Villages High School Digital Media Academy to provide internship opportunities for students pursuing Digital Media coursework, fostering the next generation of media professionals. In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports broadcast production, with advanced knowledge of audio mixing for live and broadcast settings. Familiarity with various production equipment, including BlackMagic Design ATEM switchers, Yamaha QL5 mixers, and OBS, is essential. The role also requires the ability to program Q-Sys, NDI, and Dante ecosystems, as well as a willingness to learn to operate Watchfire video scoreboard systems and Watchfire Ignite 2. Responsibilities

  • Serve as producer for in-stadium and livestream audio and video feeds
  • Coordinate with The Villages High School Digital Media Academy to provide internship opportunities for students pursuing Digital Media coursework
  • Appropriately edit, organize, and archive media files
  • Ability to work night and weekend events
  • Ability to program Q-Sys, NDI, and Dante ecosystems
  • Willingness to learn to operate Watchfire video scoreboard systems and Watchfire Ignite 2

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a professional A/V producer
  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred Bachelor's degree
  • Dante Level 2 Certification
  • Q-Sys Level 1
  • Advanced knowledge of audio mixing for live and broadcast
  • Understanding of BlackMagic Design ATEM switchers
  • Understanding of Yamaha QL5 mixers
  • Experience in Live Audio Production
  • Experience in Live Video Production
