About the position

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced A/V Service Technician to provide service to existing customers. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in A/V installation and service, particularly with Crestron and AMX systems. This role requires a professional who can interface effectively with enterprise customers and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to various A/V systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service existing customers' A/V systems
• Install and understand Crestron and AMX systems
• Reverse engineer legacy A/V systems
• Commission and debug newly built systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance testing
• Perform site surveys for service agreement quotes
• Write concise service reports and system site surveys
• Manage multiple service projects
• Lead and mentor junior/intermediate field service technicians

Requirements

• Minimum of 7-8 years of experience with A/V integration and/or A/V field service
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Intermediate to advanced A/V networking skills
• Ability to crimp and solder cabling and connectors
• Advanced knowledge of signal flow and low voltage electrical concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice-to-haves

• CTS certification or equivalent experience
• Experience with Extron equipment
• Familiarity with Biamp, QSC audio DSP products
• Knowledge of Cisco, POLY, LOGITECH video conference systems
• Experience with video wall systems such as Planar, UNILUMEN, LG, Samsung, Barco
