About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee operations in our A/V gear shop. The ideal candidate will have a background in Live Events, as well as experience with organization and crew management skills. This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a productive and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Supervise and train staff.
• Oversee the maintenance of equipment.
• Provide shop support for project managers on event site.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment usage, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the shop environment.
• Foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork and professional development.

Requirements

• Proven experience in shop and/or shop management.
• Familiarity with the Audio/Visual industry and Live Events in particular.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to telecommunicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
