About the position

Aramark's Accelerate to Leadership (A2L) Program is a year-long development and training initiative designed specifically for recent college graduates. This program offers early career talent the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and professional training across various environments and business areas. Participants in the A2L Program will engage in structured activities and developmental exercises tailored to their individual career tracks, allowing them to ignite their full potential and launch an accelerated career path within Aramark. As an Assistant Hospitality Manager at the Asilomar Conference Grounds, you will lead the Front Desk and Housekeeping teams, ensuring that the highest levels of quality standards and services are maintained and surpassed at the Bolger Conference Center. Your role will involve training, developing, and motivating team members to optimize their collective strengths, thereby achieving performance goals and objectives. You will also ensure compliance with front office, guest service, and housekeeping standard operating procedures and policies, while consistently applying all established standards. In addition to leading your teams, you will participate in departmental meetings, communicating clear and consistent messages regarding the goals of the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments. You will review staff levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met, understanding the impact of departmental operations on the overall hotel financial goals. Empowering associates to provide excellent customer service will be a key focus, along with interviewing and hiring both managerial and hourly associates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Front Desk and Housekeeping teams to maintain and surpass quality standards and services.
  • Train, develop, communicate, and motivate team members to optimize collective strengths.
  • Ensure compliance with front office, guest service, and housekeeping standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and communicate goals clearly to produce desired results.

  • Interview and hire manager and hourly associates.

Requirements

  • Must graduate between December and August of the current school year for the rising A2L Program class.
  • All degree requirements must be completed prior to the start date of the program.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship by Aramark.
  • A degree or background in hospitality, customer service, food service, facilities, operations, or sales is preferred.
  • Relevant coursework or work experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and execution skills are required.
  • Great verbal, written, and professional communication skills with teammates, customers, clients, and leadership are necessary.
  • Dynamic working skills to handle change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with food service or facilities operations.
