Aramark's Accelerate to Leadership (A2L) Program offers early career talent valuable work experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and professional training across a variety of environments and business areas. This year-long development and training program is designed for recent college graduates, providing them with the resources needed to ignite their full potential and launch an accelerated career path at Aramark. As an Assistant Hospitality Manager at the Asilomar Conference Grounds, you will lead the Front Desk and Housekeeping teams in maintaining and surpassing the highest levels of quality standards and services. You will be responsible for training, developing, and motivating your team to optimize their collective strength, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, and participating in departmental meetings to communicate clear goals. Your role will also involve reviewing staff levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives, while empowering associates to provide excellent customer service. Additionally, you will be involved in the hiring process for managers and hourly associates, ensuring that the team is equipped to meet the demands of the operation.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the Front Desk and Housekeeping teams in maintaining and surpassing the highest levels of quality standards and services at the Asilomar Conference Grounds.
  • Trains, develops, communicates, and motivates the team to optimize collective strength and achieve performance goals and objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with front office, guest service, and Housekeeping standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Participates in departmental meetings and communicates a clear and consistent message regarding Front Desk and Housekeeping goals.
  • Reviews staff levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Understands the impact of department operations on overall hotel financial goals and manages to achieve or exceed these goals.
  • Empowers associates to provide excellent customer service.
  • Interviews and hires manager and hourly associates.

Requirements

  • Must graduate between December - August of the current school year for the rising A2L Program class.
  • All degree requirements must be completed prior to the start date of the program (including any final internship requirements).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Aramark for this position now or in the future.
  • A degree or background in hospitality, customer service, food service, facilities, operations, or sales is preferred.
  • Relevant coursework or work experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and execution skills are required.
  • Great verbal, written, and professional communication skills with teammates, customers, clients, and leadership are necessary.
  • Dynamic working skills to handle change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment are essential.
