About the position

Aramark's Accelerate to Leadership (A2L) Program is a year-long development and training initiative designed for recent college graduates. This program offers valuable work experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and professional training across various environments and business areas. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to take on leadership roles within Aramark while participating in structured program activities and developmental exercises tailored to each candidate's career track. The A2L Program is committed to fostering communities rooted in service, inclusion, and shared prosperity, empowering all individuals to make an impact. As an HR Specialist within this program, you will support the Human Resources Manager in the administration of the HR function, which includes a wide range of responsibilities such as recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, policy management, benefits administration, employee relations, investigations, payroll, and more. You will be responsible for resolving general employee relations issues, providing direction and recommendations to leadership, ensuring fairness and consistency in policy and practice, and consulting with managers on compliance regarding employment-related matters. Your role will also involve investigating and resolving employee complaints, conducting interviews, preparing documentation, and recommending appropriate resolutions. You will coordinate leave of absence cases, review dashboard metrics to optimize efficiency, assist with HR projects, and ensure compliance with all related policies and employment laws. The HR Specialist will also be the process owner for New Hire Orientation, Onboarding, File Compliance, and Training Programs, ensuring that all new hires are effectively integrated into the company.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Human Resources Manager in the administration of the HR function.
  • Resolve general employee relations issues and provide direction to leadership.
  • Provide consultation to managers on policies and compliance regarding employment-related matters.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns regarding employment practices.
  • Conduct interviews and prepare relevant documentation using investigation guidelines.
  • Recommend appropriate resolution of complaints and develop action plans.
  • Interact with internal and external resources to acquire needed information.
  • Coordinate all leave of absence cases, including administration and compliance.
  • Review dashboard metrics daily to optimize efficiency and ensure work completion.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Audit SharePoint site to ensure information is current and accessible.
  • Assist the HR Manager and leadership with HR-related projects.
  • Process owner for New Hire Orientation, Onboarding, File Compliance, and Training Programs.

Requirements

  • Recent college graduate with a degree or background in hospitality, customer service, food service, facilities, operations, or sales.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and execution skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to handle change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
