About the position

The Epic Information Systems Revenue Cycle Associate Analyst plays a crucial role in the implementation and management of clinical and business systems within AdventHealth. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of system build and implementation, as well as the ability to analyze business problems and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals. The analyst collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems, ensuring a secure and effective patient care delivery system that enhances patient experiences and improves outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and associated systems.
  • Analyze and document workflows, perform gap analysis, and identify needed process changes during the implementation of new solutions.
  • Develop and maintain system process documentation and implement requested changes to the system.
  • Design and develop test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, including unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Troubleshoot issues or system deficiencies and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Participate in multiple cross-functional projects and understand project planning methodologies.
  • Actively participate in project, team, departmental, and other meetings, reporting status updates and accomplishments.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities in support of a 24/7 production systems environment.

Requirements

  • Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadline constraints.
  • Basic knowledge of HL7 and API concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-3 years of clinical business or technical background preferred.
  • EMR application/implementation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical/business/technical workflow preferred.
