AAD Safety Software Architect

In this role you will develop safety architectures in compliance with ISO 26262 and design and implement software safety mechanisms up to ASIL D applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety architectures in compliance with ISO 26262.
• Design and implement software safety mechanisms up to ASIL D applications.
• Conduct safety software analysis, including FMEA, FTA, and hazard assessments.
• Translate functional safety requirements into software design specifications.
• Design & implement low-level embedded software solutions for microcontroller safety features.
• Perform requirements engineering and ensure alignment with ASPICE.
• Participate in safety audits, assessments, and drive process improvements.
• Optimize software performance while maintaining safety integrity.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure proper software-hardware integration.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Dipl.-Ing., M.Sc., or equivalent).
• 10+ years of experience in safety-critical automotive embedded software development.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, and functional safety software development.
• Expertise in C, C++ for embedded systems and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller architectures.
• Profound knowledge of safety software validation techniques and testing frameworks.
• Fluency in English.
