About the position

The AAP Production Associate position at Honda's Alabama Auto Plant is a permanent role focused on various production assembly processes for automobiles and automobile parts. This position is integral to the assembly line, where associates will work under the supervision of Line Support Staff. The role involves operating power tools, paint spray guns, welders, and potentially manual and automatic vehicles. Associates may be assigned to different workstations as production needs change, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in their work. The environment requires adherence to safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment, and associates are expected to maintain good attendance in accordance with Honda's policies. In this role, production associates will be responsible for understanding and following operation standards and standard work procedures. They will also need to identify and report any abnormal conditions of products and equipment. Participation in product improvement activities, such as defect analysis and quality improvement, is encouraged. The job requires physical capabilities, including bending, twisting, lifting, standing, walking, reaching, seeing, moving, and hearing, as dictated by the specific department's requirements. Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures including safety, attendance, behavior, and performance.
  • Work in an environment that requires personal protective equipment and follow all safety standards.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing Experience: At least 12 months of experience in a manufacturing environment within the last 5 years (no experience required for military veterans and modern manufacturing certificate graduates).
  • Ability to pass urinalysis drug screen and physical examination.
  • Willing to submit to a background check.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
