About the position

The Ab Initio Developer position at DTC Infotech in Plano, TX, is designed for experienced professionals with a strong background in ETL architecture and data integration. The role involves working with various Ab Initio components and techniques, managing data workflows, and collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality data solutions. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide designs and solutions independently in ETL architecture.
• Work with various Ab Initio program components such as Reformat, Rollup, Scan, Join, and others.
• Utilize Ab Initio parallelism techniques and manage Ab Initio graphs.
• Integrate heterogeneous datasets using SFTP/MFTS/SSH routes.
• Support onshore-offshore models and participate in Agile methodologies.
• Create documentation related to project architecture and operations handoff guides.
• Lead and manage a team while interacting with end users and clients.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in ETL architecture and Ab Initio components.
• Thorough understanding of data warehousing concepts and SQL/PL SQL.
• Experience with Big Data/Hadoop ecosystem and HDFS commands.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and various relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, DB2, MSSQL).
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of Cloud Technologies - AWS (EKS/Athena/S3).
• Experience with DevOps tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools like Control M, Autosys, or Tivoli.
