About the position

The ABA Behavior Technician/Child Interventionist at Butterfly Effects is responsible for providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children on the autism spectrum. This role involves working directly with clients in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments, to encourage positive behavior changes and assist with daily activities. The position is part-time, requiring a commitment of 10-20 hours per week, with sessions typically scheduled between 1-7 PM. The role offers opportunities for professional growth, including support for obtaining Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and group ABA services to children on the autism spectrum.
  • Implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition strategies based on individual client needs.
  • Assist clients with daily activities to promote independence and success.
  • Build rapport with clients and their families to foster a supportive environment.
  • Complete necessary documentation and note-taking during sessions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Web-enabled device (laptop/tablet) for documentation and communication.
  • Empathy and patience in working with children.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
