About the position

As an ABA Behavior Technician at Compass ABA, you will provide individualized ABA therapy to children with autism in various settings, including homes and community locations. This part-time role focuses on helping children develop essential skills in communication, social interaction, and daily living, all while working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities

• Implement direct one-on-one ABA therapy sessions for individuals with autism spectrum disorder under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to manage challenging behaviors and enhance clients' social and communication skills and independence.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and family to implement behavior intervention plans.
• Collect and record data on client progress, utilizing information to adjust treatment plans.
• Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Reliable transportation to client homes or designated locations.
• Ability to pass a background check.
