About the position
The ABA Behavior Technician role at Community Autism Services involves delivering direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment services to children diagnosed with Autism. This part-time position is ideal for individuals with experience in behavior therapy, childcare, or special education, and offers a flexible schedule suitable for students pursuing relevant degrees. The role emphasizes hands-on experience and aims to transform the lives of children and families through high-quality behavioral services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct ABA treatment services to children diagnosed with Autism in various settings such as homes, schools, or community environments.
- Work under the guidance of a program supervisor to instruct clients on essential skills including communication, play, socialization, and fostering independence.
- Assist in addressing challenging behaviors and implementing behavior intervention plans.
- Collect, organize, and summarize behavioral data related to the child's treatment goals.
- Maintain consistent and dependable attendance with responsive communication.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Childcare experience is required.
- Flexibility to work part-time schedules starting from 3:00 PM.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a behavior therapist, behavior support aide, childcare provider, or teacher's aide.
- Pursuing a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Early Childhood Development, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Social Work, Counseling, or Mental Health.
