About the position

As an ABMS Network Engineer SME at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunity by supporting the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS), which is a next-generation command and control (C2) system. This position involves designing and developing various communication networks, troubleshooting network issues, and providing technical guidance and training. You will be at the forefront of innovation, ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations for government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop voice, video, radio frequency, and data communications networks.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve network problems.
• Provide network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
• Determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
• Provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree required.
• 8+ years of related Network Engineering experience required.
• Expert knowledge in Application and Infrastructure Availability, and Application performance required.
• Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access.
• Expert oral and written communication skills, with experience in briefing government customers.
