About the position
The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine is seeking full-time faculty members specializing in Cardiac Imaging. The role involves clinical responsibilities such as outpatient clinic and inpatient service, cardiac imaging reading, and cardiology consultation. Additionally, the position includes teaching and supervising trainees and students, as well as engaging in scholarly activities, particularly in cardiac imaging research.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient clinic and inpatient service for cardiac imaging.
- Conduct cardiac imaging readings and cardiology consultations.
- Teach and supervise trainees and students in the field of cardiology.
- Engage in scholarly activities, particularly in cardiac imaging research.
Requirements
- Medical doctorate or equivalent.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Board Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
- Training and experience in advanced echocardiography, including transesophageal echocardiography.
- Experience in echo guidance of structural heart disease interventions and in cardiac MR/CT/PET.
