About the position

The Academic & Career Coach at Rogue Community College is responsible for providing academic advising and intensive case management to both prospective and current students. This part-time position focuses on promoting student development academically, professionally, and personally, while also offering comprehensive academic pathways that lead directly to careers. The role involves working on campus, remotely, and in small group presentations to support student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and case management services to current and prospective students.
• Establish and maintain advising relationships with students.
• Analyze data to determine appropriate actions for student support.
• Assist in student development and implementation of academic plans.
• Supply career resources as appropriate to students.
• Review academic records for concerns and support intervention techniques.
• Develop and implement tools for intervention and retention efforts.
• Collaborate with program faculty regarding pathway and transfer advising.
• Participate in department, division, pathway, and campus meetings as appropriate.
• Partner with appropriate departments to update current policies and procedures.

Requirements

• An Associate's degree in a social science or related field is required.
• A minimum of three years experience in student advising or office work related to student services and counseling functions is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish is preferred.
