About the position

The Academic Operations Coordinator at Minnesota State Community and Technical College plays a crucial role in supporting the Academic Deans with various operational tasks. This position focuses on course scheduling, curriculum development, program review processes, and faculty onboarding, ensuring that academic programs align with institutional goals and policies. The coordinator also engages in data analysis to enhance decision-making and supports programmatic accreditation efforts, all while fostering an inclusive and equitable educational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to Academic Deans in day-to-day activities.
  • Lead and support course scheduling to meet student needs and college goals.
  • Assist with the development of academic curricula and program reviews.
  • Conduct needs assessments and market analyses for new programs.
  • Advise faculty and staff on curricular issues and recommend actions for new courses.
  • Facilitate faculty onboarding and professional development programming.
  • Monitor and report on program efficiency data.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to implement college initiatives and goals.
  • Support course surveys and evaluations of instructional staff.
  • Participate in college planning and budgeting processes.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data for improved planning and decision making.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data for decision-making purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree
  • Understanding of higher education processes and policies related to curriculum development.
  • Teaching experience at a community or technical college or university.
  • Experience working with collective bargaining units.
  • Experience in fiscal planning, budgeting, and project management.
