About the position
The Academic Support - RN Tutor position is designed for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping nursing students succeed in their academic pursuits. This role involves providing tutoring services across a variety of courses within the Associate Degree Nursing programs. The tutor will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer service, ensuring that students, staff, and faculty receive the support they need. The position requires flexibility, as the tutor may need to assist with different subjects based on the specific needs of the students. Additionally, the tutor will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of student interactions and ensuring confidentiality in all communications. A professional demeanor is essential, as the tutor will represent the institution in all interactions with students and faculty. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the academic mission of the institution.
Responsibilities
- Tutoring may include a full range of courses within the Associate Degree Nursing programs
- Maintain world-class customer service to students, staff, and faculty
- Available to multitask with a range of subjects dependent upon student needs
- Maintain and submit names for student record-keeping
- Maintain confidentiality
- Provide a professional image of SC4
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Overall '3.0' or higher GPA
- Associate Degree as a Registered Nurse
- Ability to write legible, speak, and read proficiently
- All academic classes and degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university
- Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members
