About the position

The Academic Support Specialist role at Prevailance involves providing academic training and education to support the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Atlantic (EWTGL). This position focuses on developing instructional materials, maintaining training programs, and ensuring the quality of educational delivery through various methods, including in-person and distance learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic training and education in person, through distance learning, or a blended approach
• Develop, maintain, and distribute instructional materials such as outlines, lesson plans, reference materials, briefs, lectures, scenarios, animations, handouts, student and instructor workbooks, study guides, testing materials, critiques, and feedback
• Provide expertise in video software to assist in producing training videos, aids, and multimedia products
• Develop tailored teaching products and scenarios, as approved by course instructors
• Assist in maintaining, updating, and standardizing the instructor certification program to ensure instructors' knowledge and presentation skills remain current
• Provide support for the maintenance of the reference library containing unclassified manuals, documents, and reference materials necessary for training, curriculum development, and maintenance
• Support curriculum review, development, and implementation to meet academic warfare training requirements
• Offer analysis and recommendations for preferred course/instruction delivery, whether face-to-face or synthetic, in close coordination with course/program leads to identify requirements
• Assist with augmenting and providing backup support for synthetic and war-game operations

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a senior trainer/evaluator
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
