About the position

The Sales Development Representative role is part of the S3 Academy, a 2-year global development program aimed at nurturing early-in-career talent into future leaders and sales professionals at NetApp. This position focuses on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing customer engagement, ensuring prospects are ready for the sales team. The role emphasizes continuous learning and personal growth within a supportive team environment that values individuality and diverse perspectives.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop leads
  • Perform outbound cold calling to generate leads
  • Make 70+ calls per day
  • Qualify opportunities and pass off to appropriate team member
  • Build sales/lead pipeline by meeting & exceeding lead generation quotas
  • Create and maintain a database of contacts of current and future customers
  • Provide follow up on demand-generation activities
  • Establish account presence and build trust with key contacts
  • Analyze customer needs in terms of current business obstacles, identifying opportunities and scoping potential for NetApp products
  • Present and articulate product features and benefits
  • Integrate with both inside and field sales reps to maximize prospect potential

Requirements

  • No industry-relevant experience required
  • Basic knowledge or skills acquired through education, internships, or relevant coursework will be considered
  • Excellent written, oral, and phone skills
  • Demonstrated track record at achieving measurable goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior objection handling experience
  • Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity
  • Ability to learn and understand product solutions and features
