About the position

The Access Center Coordinator plays a crucial role in supervising and coordinating the daily operations at the Foundation for Recovery's Access Center. This position serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance with substance use and mental health disorders, providing compassionate case management support and developing a referral network to connect patrons with community-based services. The coordinator will also organize health events and ensure that individuals receive the necessary resources and support to navigate their recovery journey.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate services and daily operations at the Access Center.
  • Provide case management support to individuals with substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Develop a referral network to assist patrons in accessing community-based services.
  • Collaborate with team members and community partners to organize monthly health events.
  • Assist individuals in finding appropriate services based on their needs using motivational interviewing and assessment tools.
  • Screen individuals for enrollment in recovery support programs.
  • Manage incoming requests and referrals to the recovery community center.
  • Complete assessments, surveys, and data collection to track outcomes for grantors and management.
  • Educate participants about available programs and resources at the Foundation.
  • Manage front desk operations and participant flow between workers.
  • Provide individualized support and encouragement to members through coaching and interactions.
  • Offer recovery management and harm reduction strategies to members.
  • Maintain clear documentation using the organization's case management software.
  • Prepare program, grant, and caseload reports as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience with standard office practices and procedures.
  • 2 years of customer service experience.
  • 2 years of experience working with individuals with behavioral health disorders.
  • 1-2 years of experience using electronic health records or case management databases.
  • Understanding of Nevada Certification Board's code of ethics for Peer Recovery Support Specialists.
  • Current, valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance.
  • Proficiency with Zoom video conferencing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience working with nonprofits.
  • Continuing education in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, or related fields.
  • Prior experience working with state and federal grants.
