About the position

The Access Coordinator is responsible for the administration, operations, and planning of the Auburn Regional Media Access Center. This role involves outreach and community service, requiring a deep understanding of public, educational, and governmental access operations, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation. The position offers opportunities for professional growth in media production and community outreach, allowing the coordinator to develop leadership skills and manage impactful community projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall administration and operations of the Auburn Regional Media Access Center.
  • Work with community members to intake and produce community television.
  • Manage office procedures, personnel records, and Access Center files.
  • Schedule members for basic studio production classes.
  • Prepare and present monthly operational reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Establish goals and objectives for the organization.
  • Interpret and enforce policies established by the Board to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in various training functions at the Access Center.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or two years of college credit with 2 years of experience in cable television or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High degree of technical knowledge of NLE editing and proficiency in video production.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and collaborate effectively for community-driven programming.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships with public officials and the general public.
  • Ability to assemble, organize, and present financial and factual information.
