About the position

The Access Database Manager at Peraton is responsible for managing and enhancing a legacy MS Access database that contains technical materials data. This role involves importing data, generating reports, and providing support primarily for MS Access, while also utilizing MS Office tools as needed. The position requires collaboration with scientists and a proactive approach to problem-solving using available resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the utility of a legacy MS Access database of technical materials data.
• Import existing and new technical data into the database.
• Work with scientists to generate reports of database contents.
• Provide primary support for MS Access.
• Utilize MS Office skills for tasks such as using MS Excel (macros, pivot tables), MS Project, Outlook (mail merge), and MS Word.

Requirements

• BS in a technical discipline with 5-7 years of experience or MS with 3-5 years of experience.
• Active DOD Secret Clearance required.
• 5 years of MS Access experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Project, Outlook, and Word.
