This position works directly with teaching faculty, providing guidance on evidence-based best practices and teaching tools to advance the development of technology-enhanced curriculum including online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses/programs. The role involves collaborating with faculty, colleagues, and the Student Access Center to provide expertise in the planning, development, and delivery of high-quality credit and noncredit learning experiences. The incumbent supports university accessibility-focused initiatives using instructional design best practices and leading-edge technologies. This position is essential in ensuring that the curriculum is accessible and meets the diverse needs of all students, thereby enhancing the overall educational experience at Kansas State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing instructional materials and resources that align with the university's goals for accessibility and inclusivity. This includes conducting needs assessments, designing and implementing training sessions for faculty, and evaluating the effectiveness of instructional strategies. The position also requires staying current with trends in instructional design and technology, as well as understanding the legal and ethical considerations related to accessibility in education. The incumbent will play a key role in fostering a collegial environment that promotes cooperative interactions among coworkers, students, and other stakeholders, thereby contributing to the university's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
